Our seven campsites are
located in groves of mountain laurel, rhododendron, and flame
azaleas. Each site also has its own picnic table and stone fireplace,
as well as easy access to the onsite café, where ice,
snacks, and other camping articles may be purchased. Within 350
feet of all campsites is the bathhouse, which includes hot showers,
toilets and sinks. Folks enjoying the campsites are also welcome
to the Bed and Breakfast option at $10 additional
per morning per person!
The communal fire
circle is ideal for group events or for those who desire to socialize
with fellow campers.
Adding to the attraction of camping
at Raven Ridge is the campground area's location above the poison
ivy line—you can relax and enjoy your experience at Raven
Ridge without the prospect of its painful itching rash! At this
elevation, there are also fewer mosquitoes.
These tents-only campsites are
meant to be kept as serene as the mountain itself, so heavy smoking
and drinking are prohibited. Campsites are limited to four people
each, and parking is provided for one vehicle per campsite. Pets
under 30 pounds may accompany you. You may bring your own firewood,
or get bundled firewood from our café near the campsites. Firewood
is provided free of charge.
The campsites are conveniently
located along the TransAmerican Bike trail. Bikers will appreciate
the easy access from Route 76, as well as the availability of
refreshing showers and camping supplies.
